Enforcement Training and Licensing
The
BCI provides training for ND law enforcement officers, and handles
peace officer licensing and record keeping for the Peace Officer
Standards and Training (POST) Board. Members of the POST Board
are appointed by the Attorney General and represent all facets
of law enforcement, as well as city and county governments.
The POST Board enforces minimum standards for the issuance and
maintenance of peace officer licenses, including continuing
education and weapons qualification requirements.
